Lascaux Impasto Gel 1 and 2 — gloss and matt impasto gels

The transparent, pastose Lascaux Impasto Gels lend paint more body and volume. They are applied directly, mixed into, or painted over with acrylic colours to achieve different textures and gloss levels. Added to Lascaux acrylic colours, they slow down the drying process and increase transparency and yield. They are elastic, do not crack even in thick layers, and adhere well.

• Impasto Gel 1 gloss: dries crystal clear and glossy. Serves as a modelling paste and as a pastose medium for acrylic colours, rendering them more brilliant, transparent and glossy.
• Impasto Gel 2 matt: dries crystal clear and matt. Serves as a modelling paste and as a pastose medium for acrylic colours, rendering them more brilliant, transparent and matt.

Dries transparent and water-resistant, remains viscoplastic and flexible, is lightfast and age-resistant, does not yellow, and has good adhesion, abrasion resistance and hardness.

Use & application: transparent and pastose painting, pastose glazes, transfer technique, textured coating, collages and embedding of various materials.
