FAIBO S1600 Scissors — 16 cm stainless steel with bi-material handle
16 cm scissors from FAIBO's professional series, with stainless steel blades and a bi-material handle, pliable and soft on the inside. The cut is adjusted with the central screw. They are the general-purpose scissors for the workbench: the pair kept for paper, tapes and packing, and never taken to the artwork.
What are they used for?
- Cutting gummed paper tape, masking tape and adhesive tapes during mounting and packing.
- Cutting protective paper and blotting paper to size.
- Cutting thread, cotton cord and packing film.
- Trimming labels, record cards and documentation sleeves.
Why choose the FAIBO S1600 scissors?
- Stainless steel blades.
- Bi-material handle, pliable and soft on the inside.
- Adjustable cut via the central screw, and 100% recyclable according to the manufacturer.
Packaging and storage
- Packaging: 16 cm scissors, in a bag.
- Storage: clean and dry, with no adhesive residue on the blades.
- Lifespan: tool with no expiry date.
When they are not the right scissors
- They are general-purpose scissors: for fine trimming close to the artwork, or for cutting Japanese paper infills to the size of the loss, fine cutting instruments are used.
Frequently asked questions
Are the blades made of stainless steel?
Yes. FAIBO makes them with stainless steel blades and a bi-material handle.
Can the cut be adjusted?
Yes: the cut is adjusted with the central screw.
Are they suitable for Japanese paper?
For cutting strips and sheets, yes. To trim an infill to the exact size of a loss, a scalpel or precision scissors are better.
How are they sold?
Individually, in a bag.
Are there other sizes?
FAIBO also makes them in 21 cm. In the shop we stock the 16 cm version; if you need another, write to us.
