Liquitex Bio-Based Heavy Cadmium-Free Red Light — professional high-viscosity acrylic in a 500 ml jar
Professional high-viscosity acrylic paint from the Liquitex Bio-Based Heavy range, in Cadmium-Free Red Light (No. 893). It is an opaque light red with orange tones and high tinting strength, formulated to reproduce the luminosity, covering power and intensity of traditional cadmium red light without containing cadmium. It has lightfastness I (excellent) on the ASTM scale (American Society for Testing and Materials). In this colour, 36% of the carbon comes from bio-based raw materials and 64% from fossil sources, measured by radiocarbon (carbon-14) on a sample of the product.
What is it used for?
The Bio-Based Heavy range is suited to all painting techniques, especially:
- Impasto: the paint retains the mark of the brush and the palette knife.
- Textures with brush or palette knife.
- Alla prima painting, with good drag over the surface and good handling and blending qualities.
It is applied on stretched canvas, paper and card, photographic paper, wood, fabric, glass, plaster and brick, clay and ceramic.
