Lascaux Studio Bronze is the range of metallics for when the finish needs to last: eight colors of metallic sheen made with pure, non-oxidizing metallic pigments—unlike common bronze glitter, which oxidizes and dulls over time—with stable color that does not darken. With a viscous, smooth, buttery consistency, they are diluted with water and dry to a semi-matte, flexible, and water-resistant finish.

Why choose Lascaux Studio Bronze?

  • Authentic metallic luster — Real metal alloy pigments (gold, copper, aluminum, silver)
  • High opacity — Great coverage in a single coat
  • Does not oxidize or darken — Stable metallic color over time
  • Maximum lightfastness — Semi-matte and water-resistant finish
  • Highly concentrated and productive — Smooth consistency, easy application
  • Water-dilutable — Solvent-free, easy clean-up

Uses and applications

  • Decoration and architecture — Large surfaces and details, interior and exterior
  • Frames and gilding — Metallic finishes on moldings and frames
  • Fine arts — Highlights and metallic effects in artwork and mixed media
  • Exterior — Suitable for outdoor use; it is recommended to protect with Lascaux UV Transparent Varnish

When this is NOT your product: for chromatic reintegration or retouching glazes on the original, use reversible restoration pigments or watercolors. Studio Bronze is an acrylic metallic for coverage—and, once dry, water-resistant—not a subtle blending or reversible material.
