Roll-up case with 8 Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour synthetic brushes — five short-handled brush shapes in a fabric case
Set of eight synthetic-fibre, short-handled watercolour brushes, from the Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour range, in a roll-up fabric case. Seven are made of synthetic fibre that imitates sable hair and one, the “Petit Gris” quill, of synthetic fibre that imitates squirrel hair. It brings together five of the range’s seven shapes: round, pointed round, short flat, wash and quill.
What is it used for?
- Rounds No. 0, 1, 3 and 8: details and fill areas in watercolour.
- Pointed round No. 4: extra-fine conical point for precision work and fine detail.
- Short flat ½" (13 mm): washes, strong linear strokes and clean edges.
- 1" (25 mm) wash brush: broad, even washes and blends.
- Synthetic “Petit Gris” quill No. 6: large colour-holding capacity for large-scale work.
- Fabric case: for storing and carrying the brushes.
Why choose the case of 8 Professional Watercolour synthetic brushes?
- Eight measured sizes, from the No. 0 round, with a 1.2 mm diameter ferrule and 8 mm of visible hair, to the No. 6 quill, with 37 mm of visible hair (range measurements for each shape and size).
- The range uses a proprietary blend of synthetic fibres, with a colour load developed to replicate that of a natural sable brush.
- In this range, the hair tuft recovers its shape during use.
- The brushes in the range are made by hand, with a short birch handle, sculpted and in matt dark grey.
- Case with 10 inner pockets and a Velcro closure, in 100% recycled plastic fabric.
