Wooden oil paint palette, with the classic oval painter's shape and thumb hole. Oil-sealed surface, in natural wood color.

Purpose

For mixing and arranging colors in oil painting. The oval shape and thumb hole allow it to be held in the hand and used at the easel, keeping the mix always in view.

Why sealed wood?

The wood surface is oil-sealed: unlike raw wood, it does not absorb the oil or medium from the oil paint, so the paint remains workable on the palette and does not dry out due to absorption. With use, the sealed surface develops a patina that facilitates mixing.

Cleaning

Remove excess paint with a spatula and a cloth. For residues, clean with turpentine or white spirit. It is not necessary to leave the palette spotless: the layer of cured oil paint is part of the working surface.
