The MIR 12-Color Extra-Fine Watercolor Pack includes the complete range of MIR extra-fine watercolors in 8 ml tubes. This transparent water-based paint is made with the same permanent pigments accepted for oil painting and bound with the traditional Arabic gum solution. It's the most convenient and cost-effective way to have the entire basic palette at a glance.

Why choose the complete pack?

  • All 12 colors in the range in a single order: a complete palette ready to use.
  • Better price than buying tubes separately.
  • High-quality permanent pigments, the same as those accepted for oil.
  • Traditional Arabic gum binder: transparency, luminosity, and water reversibility.

Uses and applications

  • Watercolor painting: transparent technique on paper, washes, and glazes with the complete palette.
  • Chromatic reintegration in conservation-restoration: watercolor is a classic retouching medium, transparent and water-reversible, ideal for discernibly and reversibly reintegrating losses according to C&R criteria.
  • Illustration and sketching: notes, botanical, and scientific illustration.

What the pack includes

An 8 ml tube of each of the 12 colors:

  • Permanent Chinese White
  • Lemon Cadmium Yellow Hue
  • Light Cadmium Yellow
  • Vermilion
  • Alizarin Crimson Hue
  • Cerulean Blue
  • Dark Ultramarine Blue
  • Emerald Green
  • Yellow Ochre
  • Raw Umber
  • Burnt Sienna
  • Lamp Black

How to use

The fine pigment particles are retained in the interstices of the paper fibers, with the Arabic gum promoting their adhesion. Drying occurs by simple evaporation of water. A watercolor that has dried on the palette can be rehydrated with water and reused.

Safety

Low-risk product under normal use. Some colors (cadmiums) contain pigments with hazard classification; consult the safety data sheet (SDS) for the corresponding color and avoid ingestion. Keep out of reach of children.
