Lascaux Heat-Seal Adhesive 375 P (liquid)

Heat-seal adhesive tested in a new toluene-free formulation. Our 375 P adhesive is a further development of BEVA, based on a blend of copolymer resins and paraffin. It offers all the properties required by conservation and restoration professionals.

Important Innovations

• Replaces toluene with Propylal, a much less toxic solvent, significantly reducing health risks during use.
• Higher flash point for increased safety.
• Ready to use at the same concentration — pasty consistency, applied directly without the need for water bath heating or dilution.

Properties

• Activation temperature: 62–65 °C
• Acidity index: less than 1
• Colorless when cold, transparent once sealed
• Excellent adhesive properties
• Resistant to aging, non-yellowing

Use and application

For lining paintings on canvas (with or without interlining), paper or textile mounts, reinforcement strips, facing, and consolidation of paint layers. Suitable for temporary and permanent bonds.
