CTS series 522 brush — flat pure-bristle brush for glues, gesso grounds and base coats, from 20 to 100 mm

Flat pure-bristle brush, 9 mm thick according to CTS, with a metal ferrule and a wooden handle with a natural varnish finish. It is used to spread glues, gesso grounds and base coats over large surfaces, and comes in eight widths, from 20 to 100 mm.

What is it used for?

  • Spreading animal glues and pastes over large surfaces
  • Applying gesso grounds (gypsum and glue)
  • Applying varnish base coats and pore fillers on wood
  • Removing sanding dust from surfaces without polychromy
