    A conservation vacuum cleaner is not chosen for power, but for control. What separates this device from a "HEPA-equipped" household one is the continuous electronic regulation: you can lower the suction to the minimum and gradually increase it.

    It also functions as a blower, with adjustable air output controlled by the same dial.

    Frequently asked questions

    How does it differ from a household vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter?
    In regulation. A household vacuum cleaner has fixed power or two settings; this one continuously lowers to a minimum that allows you to clean a friable surface without damaging it. The filter retains dust; the regulation is what protects the artwork.
    Can it be used on polychromy or powdery layers?
    With minimum suction and always with professional judgment: by interposing tulle or gauze, without direct contact, and by testing first in an inconspicuous area. No vacuum cleaner replaces the conservator's judgment on whether the surface can withstand it.
    What maintenance does it require?
    Changing the bag when suction is lost and the micromotor filter periodically depending on usage. Both are spare parts we supply: PH-722 bags and PH-726 filter.
