Nahita 125 mm Straight Precision Scissors — Sharp-Blunt Tip
125 mm straight laboratory scissors, with one sharp and one blunt tip. This combination allows you to insert the fine tip under a raised edge without piercing what is underneath, which is exactly what is needed when trimming an already applied reinforcement.
What is it used for?
- Trimming Japanese paper, reinforcement fabric, and lining tape to size
- Adjusting an already applied patch, resting the blunt tip on the artwork
- Cutting thread, gauze, and retaining bandages in consolidation treatments
- Preparing samples and trimming test material

It means one of the two tips ends in a blade and the other is rounded. You work by resting the blunt tip on what you don't want to damage and guiding with the sharp tip.
Is it suitable for cutting Japanese paper?
Yes, for custom trimming. For the frayed edge of the patch, however, it is torn wet, not cut.
Is this the scissors on the class material list?
It covers the "normal scissors" line. The "small pointed scissors" line requires a shorter model with two sharp tips.
Can it be autoclaved?
Dissection instruments in this range can be autoclaved at 132 °C for 4-6 minutes according to the manufacturer.
What length should I choose?
The 125 mm is the table working format. Above 160 mm, you gain cutting length and lose precision.
