Powder-free disposable nitrile glove, for handling artwork

Powder-free disposable nitrile glove, in sizes 7 to 10. The absence of powder makes it suitable for use with artwork: the powder from a powdered glove settles on the surface you are handling.

What the manufacturer declares

• Powder-free nitrile, disposable.
• EN ISO 374-1:2016, Type B — protection against chemical risks. According to the manufacturer's EU Declaration of Conformity, with notified body AITEX 0161.
• EN ISO 374-5:2016 — protection against microorganisms, with VIRUS pictogram.
• EN 455 — glove requirements for medical use.
• EN ISO 21420 — general requirements.
• Presented in a pack of 100 units.

What it is used for in conservation and restoration

Barrier between the hand and the artwork during handling, assembly, cleaning, and work with solvents. The manufacturer declares this glove for industrial use: the reason why it is useful in a restoration workshop is that it is talc-free and single-use, not a manufacturer's indication for heritage.

What we DO NOT say about this glove

We prefer to declare what is not documented rather than fill it in:

• Chemical resistance by letters. The supplier's price list and the manufacturer's data sheet do not match the EN 374 letters. Until the manufacturer confirms which is valid, we will not publish any. If you are going to work with a specific solvent, write to us and we will consult it before you buy.
• Accelerator-free / hypoallergenic. The manufacturer's data sheet does not declare it. We do not affirm it.
• Thickness. The manufacturer's data sheet gives different figures between its language versions.
