This is the first original DIY Kintsugi Kit , launched by Humade in 2009. Since then, it has inspired thousands of people to restore broken ceramics with an aesthetic and poetic approach. Based on the Japanese technique of Kintsugi, this kit transforms each fracture into a visible part of the object's history.
What is Kintsugi?
Kintsugi (金継ぎ, “golden joining”) is a traditional Japanese technique that repairs broken ceramic pieces using adhesives mixed with gold powder. Instead of hiding the fractures, it highlights them, celebrating imperfection as a virtue.
Each restored crack becomes a luminous scar, a testament to the object's history and its resilience.
